Fennel is a perennial plant, 1 to 1.8 meters high, erect, smooth and odor, divided and round stems with are observed on delicate tooth like surface.
Leaves are formed from the base, 30 cm length and 15 cm width, triangular ovate, 3-4 pinnate and terminal pieces up to 40 mm long and 0.5 mm wide.
The petiole is wide and forms an auricle near the stem. Leaves on the stem are a few and they are similar to base like leaves but smaller in shape.
