Cardamom is a plant with the scientific name Elettaria Cardamomum (L) Marton from the genus Zingiberaceae. It is one of the aromatic spices whose main origin is India, with more than 80% of green cardamom exports.
Green cardamom is an herbaceous perennial tall plant with tuberous and thick rhizomes and multiple tubers. The leaves are hairless, linear-lanceolate, 30–60 cm long.
